- Announcement: Newark Daily Advertiser, on 2 Feb 1849. "Mr. Lewis Cory expects to sale about the 5th of this month. Mrs. Cory goes with him, and he takes out a stock of goods for the purpose of establishing himself in business in San Francisco. Mr. C. will also take out with him the frame of a house."
