  • He worked circa 1736-1760 as a silversmith in Marblehead MA 9
  • 1741: a Middlesex County deed names Thomas Skinner of Marblehead, silversmith, along with William Skinner, Gentleman of Boston, and Francis Skinner, bookseller of Newport RI. He left an estate, appraised by Marblehead goldsmith Thomas Grant among others, totalling only £114/17/8. The inventory lists, "Sundry Workmans tools and other utensells Suitable for the Silver Smiths trade—£ 15:07:2." Stone buttons, rings, buckles, and spoons are mentioned among the gold and silver on hand in his shop, where there was also a glass show case valued at 10 shillings. 3
