• Carlisle:, . ¹⁶ Working for Marshall & Tyrrell at 72 Merchant's Row, Rutland in 1904. Moved to Burlington in 1912 and joined the N. A. Bero Jewelery Store, successors to Brinsmaid & Hildreth. He worked as a watch repairer, silversmith, and engraver. In 1914, at the death of Nelson Bero, he joined with three other workers to purchase the business, remaining there as its director until his death.
