  • He worked circa 1780-1800 as a silversmith and watchmaker in Northfield MA
    On 19 dec 1780, he purchased a tract of land in Northfield, listing himself on the deed as a goldsmith. 9
  • Advertised in the Massachusetts Gazette (Springfield MA), 22 Oct 1782,
    "Any gentleman who wants his watch repaired may apply to Ebenezer White of Northfield. . . Also Gold & Silver Smith's work done by said White." 9
  • , . 9 White experience financial trouble by the late 1780s. In 1788, he morgaged his property to Josiah White for £300, buying it back by the end of the year. He again morgaged the property to White in 1799, listing himself as a trader, rather than gold or silversmith. In 1800, he was sued successfully by two Boston merchants for nonpayment. Declaring the valdity of the debts, the court ordered his goods, tools, and property assessed and sold at auction.

Ebenezer married Olive Soule about 1779. (Olive Soule was born on 21 Feb 1757 in Plympton MA.)
