    Death of an Old-time Jewelry Manufacturer.
    New Britain, Conn., Feb. 20. -- Philo W. Hart, one of New Britain's highly respected citizens, died at his home Tuesday night, after a short illness of heart disease, aged sixty years. He was for many years a jewelery manufacturer in New Britain.
    The deceased was born in Avon, Conn., and came to New Britain in his early life. At the age of sixteen he began learning his trade in the jewelry factory in New Britain, now owned [by] Lewis, Wessel & Leward, and he continued to work for the concern many years, afterward engaging in business for himself.
