  • He worked in 1857-1887 as a silversmith, jeweler, and watchmaker in Montpelier VT from a shop "At the Sign of the Big Watch" first at 15 State Street and after 1870, at 25 State Street. At his death, he had been in business longer than any other merchant in the town. 4
  • Advertised in the Bangor Daily Whig and Courier (Bangor ME), 18 May 1861, as part of a group endorsement of the Waltham Watch Company.
